About the brand
Sustainably produced in Thailand
Nearly four decades of mindful business practices and great attention to product design make PlanToys an unparalleled manufacturer of developmental toys.
We are convinced by the concept of PlanToys, as it is produced in an entirely sustainable and environmentally oriented manner. Natural rubber is first harvested from their own rubber tree plantations. After a few years, the trees no longer produce rubber. Now they begin their second life as raw material for toy production. The raw wood is directly processed into toys. A part of the roots and other parts of the tree are used for energy generation in the company's own power plant. The energy is utilized for the production of toys. Excess energy is supplied to the surrounding villages.
From the leftover wood, sawdust, and natural pigments, the revolutionary Planwood is also produced. By pressing under high pressure and temperature, a raw material for toy manufacturing is created. Planwood is completely colored through and waterproof. CO2 emissions are reduced by up to 40% as the entire tree is utilized. The plantations are reforested immediately after logging, and the cycle begins anew.
In addition to nature, PlanToys also considers the well-being of its employees. There is a free lunch, small loans, and additional benefits such as shopping opportunities in the company-owned supermarket, which operates on a non-profit basis. The children of employees are cared for on the company premises and receive individual support.
